Feast Day 13th October.
Lived c.1005 - 1066. After almost 30 years in exile in Normandy he was
crowned King of England and was known for his life of piety, prayer and
almsgiving to the poor. He also undertook the rebuilding of St Peter's Abbey in
Westminster (Westminster Abbey) where he and most subsequent monarchs have been
buried.
