Alternative names Bride, Brid, Brigit, Bridget
sometimes referred to as 'the Mary of the Gael'. Feast Day 1st February.
She erected the 'Church
of the Oak' (Cill-Dara now Kildare) convent under a large Oak tree. It became a
site of spirituality, learning and art with a school famous throughout Europe.
Brigid is pictured holding a bible under
the shade of the famous Oak Tree, a flame beside her indicates the many
instances of fire associated with her life.

Fire retardant: BS5867/Type B DIN4102. An extra depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for the hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
