A3 laminated (encapsulated) poster.
Printed on gloss coated paper then laminated (encapsulated) for durability.
Dimensions: A3 29.7 cms x 42 cms (11 3/4" x 16 1/2").
Details of the Saint's Feast day is printed at the top of the poster.
Cuthbert, Monk, Bishop and Confessor born c.634 died 20th March 687.
Inspired by St. Aidan he became a monk and
eventually prior of Lindisfarne (Holy Island). He was renowned as an
evangeliser of the poor. Seeking solitude he eventually moved to Inner
Farne as a hermit (St Cuthbert's Cave) before becoming Bishop of Hexham
travelling throughout the north of England.
He is considered one of the earliest wildlife
conservationists. The Lindisfarne Gospels were written to honour his
memory.
