Drinking from the Sources - How Scripture and Liturgy Shape Our Christian Life

By Sofia Cavalletti and Patricia Coulter

For more than forty years, individuals drawn to the work of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd have experienced a deepening of their own faith and spiritual life.

Here we have a sampling of Sofia Cavalletti's meditationson Scripture and liturgy that have nourished catechists and drawn them to drink even more deeply from these sources of faith. Those who spend time with these pages will not only discover a new way to read the Bible and tpo live the Eucharist, but in the words of Cavalletti, they will also realise "that each time we celebrate the sacraments or we open the Bible, we can say now is the time of our salvation, now we are helping to build the Kingdom of God."

Patricia Coulter, the first English-speaking student to study to be a catechist of the Good Shepherd, recorded her tutorials with Sofia Cavalletti. In this resouce, Coulter has translated and transcribed several of these sessions, highlighting those that focusnon Baptism and the Eucharis. Her efforts preserve Cavalletti's original work, thus making it available to catechists of the Good Shepherd and to all who are interested in the history and development of this approach to the religious formation of the child and the adult.
