Carmelite houses. Known for her practical approach and indomitable spirit in
the face of opposition and personal trials. She also recorded her mystical
spiritual life in works including The Interior Castle and The

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices. - St. Teresa of Avila
