This
13-month tear-off planning calendar runs from the First Sunday of Advent until
the last day of the calendar year. It is 22”×17” and may be used as a desk
blotter or hung on the wall. Its easy-to-use format provides ample space for
recording monthly plans and schedules, as well as including pertinent Roman
Catholic liturgical information and secular holidays and observances.
The
liturgical days on this calendar are taken from the Liturgical Calendar for the
Dioceses of the United States of America, published by the Secretariat of
Divine Worship, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Celebrations
proper to the dioceses of Canada have also been included. The Roman Catholic
titles for each day are given, along with the citations of readings for Mass,
the liturgical colours, and other Catholic observances, such as First Fridays
and Catholic Schools Week.
The
quotations in this year's calendar are from Pope Francis' apostolic
exhortation, Gaudete et exsultate (On the Call to Holiness in Today's World).
