A complete resource for collective worship using ten paintings from the National Gallery.
These assemblies use paintings from the National gallery, London, as a powerful stimulus to encourage pupils to engage with the content of the core material. Each assembly has both a religious theme and a theme linked to human experience, allowing all pupils to take something from the assembly. The human-experience themes raise issues such as motives, authority and power, friendships, values and attitudes.
The paintings depict incidents from the life of Jesus or reflect Christian belief, and may be projected directly from the CD-ROM or printed onto acetates for use on an overhead projector. Religious themes include facing realities about Christmas, Jesus' teaching, miracles and the cross as a symbol of love.
