Holy Spirit of fire, flame everlasting, set our hearts ablaze with your love.
When the Holy Spirit came to the disciples on the day of Pentecost, it was in the form of a rushing wind and tongues of fire.
Burning flame was God's own choice of metaphor for the presence of this Spirit of Love - this Fire of Love at the heart of God.
Jesus said, "I have come to bring fire to the earth, and wish it was already blazing." (Luke 12:49).
John the Baptist, speaking of Jesus, said, "He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire." (Luke 3:16).

Confirmation is the completion of Baptism.
The Holy Spirit, the fire of God's love, comes to us again and in new abundance as we, in our turn, commit ourselves to God.
Whether we are, in any way, aware of this new energy flooding the depths of our being, or not, the reality is that God's love is set ablaze deep within us.
It is this hidden reality that is explained in this banner image.
These banners are reproduced using a dye sublimation printing process on a heavy opaque natural close-weave cotton fabric that hangs well. The colours are fade resistant under normal lighting conditions. All banners are supplied with a hanging cord, rods and end caps top and bottom. An extra depth of approx. 12" should be allowed when measuring to allow for hanging cord. A sample of the material can be supplied upon request.
