Q: Who can register for an account?
A: McCrimmons welcomes trade, individuals, schools, churches, repositories & other organisations from the UK and overseas as account holders, all acounts are given subject to our discretion. We also welcome purchases from guests (non-account holders).
Q: I want to make a purchase on your website do I need to register for an account?
A: No. You do not need to register for an account to make a purchase, you may buy as a guest (non-account holder).
However, if you are a regular user it is beneficial to open an account so that you do not need to enter all your address details each time you visit. If you are eligible to pay by invoice (see below) you will need to open an account for us to offer that facility.
Please note: whether you are an account holder or a guest customer (non-account holder) for your security we do not keep any details of your credit or debit cards or other forms of payment. (See Security below).
Q: How do I register for an account?
A: You need to go to the sign up page to do the following:
- Enter a user name of your choice which must contain at least 4 characters, you may use your email address if you wish, however, if you intend to have more than one account (work & personal) you need to use different user names. Your user name is case sensitive.
- Enter a password of your choice which must contain at least 6 characters, your password is case sensitive.
- Once you have completed this sign up process you can click on 'My Account' to edit your personal details in the User Menu, you may also add different delivery addresses. Click here to go to the sign up page.
|Q: I live outside the UK can I register and purchase through your website?
A: Yes. McCrimmons welcomes customers from overseas. You may register for an account as described above. Fill in the post code field in the address screen with your zip code or regional code or input 00000 if you do not have a code.You will be asked to select your country from a drop down menu selection. If you place an order from outside the UK we will contact you by email about additional delivery charges (the delivery charges quoted in this email will replace the local UK charges you see in your online Shopping Cart), if you agree to the delivery charges and complete payment the goods will be dispatched. Q: I am a returning account holder from your previous site what do I do to re-register?
A: You need to go to the sign up page and open a new account as above. Click here to go to the sign up page.
Q: I am a returning account holder from your previous site who previously had an invoice facility, how do I continue to pay by invoice?
A: You need to go to the sign up page and open an new account as above. When you make your first purchase at the check out you may select the 'ISSUE INVOICE, AND PAY LATER' option, your goods will then be supplied with a 30 day credit invoice. Q: I am a new or returning trade customer, can I order using this website?
A: If you are a new trade customer please contact our Head Office on +44 (0) 1702 218956 or firstname.lastname@example.org for our terms and conditions.
New and returning trade customer should follow the registration process above to open a new account. After registration you may use this website to place orders but any discounts will appear on your invoice sent with the goods NOT in your Shopping Cart. Click here to go to the sign up page.
Q: What payment types do you accept?
A: We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo and American Express.
Q: Will I receive an email confirmation?
A: Yes. You will receive an order confirmation by email from us when you have completed your payment/purchase.You will also receive a separate email from Sage Pay to acknowledge any card transaction you have made.
Q: Will I receive a credit invoice?
A: Click here to check who is eligible to receive an invoice. If you are eligible you can request an invoice at the checkout and a credit invoice will be supplied with your goods giving you 30 days to pay.
Q: Will I receive a receipt?
A: Yes. If you have paid with order you will receive a receipt with the goods.
Q: Can I have my goods delivered to a different address?
A: Yes. Account holders can add different delivery addresses by clicking on 'My Account' and then 'Manage Addresses'. Guest customers will be offered an opportunity to enter different billing and delivery addresses during check out.
Q: Is the McCrimmon website a secure server?
Q: Do you store my credit card details?
A: No. McCrimmons do not store any information about your credit cards.
Q: How do you process my order if you do not store my credit card details?
A: During payment, you will be redirected to a Sage Pay (formerly Protx) payment page who process the payment on our behalf. You can read more about their security here.
Q: Do you store any information about me?
A: Yes. To process your order we have to store a small amount of information about you so we can track and despatch your order. This is usually your name, delivery address and email address. This is the information you give us at the time of registering for an account. See Full Terms & Conditions below for fuller explanation.
Q: Do you sell my details to other companies?
A: No. We respect your privacy and do not give your details to anyone else. See Full Terms & Conditions below for fuller explanation.
